Worked construction for a while in St. Louis

I was helping build a great big new motel

It rained so much I couldn't make the payments

I sold my car it didn't run too well.



Got a job at makin' stoke ice in Ohio

But it rained so much I moved along again

Or I just didn't notice rain back then.
