The River

I am one with the river

Guided gently by her stream

To a shoreline in the distance

The lights of the city

Summon after me

To them I give no resistance



This boat I have fashioned

For this adventure

Is my one and only home

The branches on the riverside

Sing to me in the wind

"Godspeed you wayward passenger!"
