Last night I walked through town,

The rain was tumbling down and I could hardly see.

I just lost my heart,

I gave it from the star she made a fool of me.



Now and then a light, filled the misty night.

Though my heart was filled pain,

That's when I first saw the girl I lost in the rain.



You were standing there, with raindrops in your hair.

Your smiling face aglow, it gave me such a thrill,

It burns within me still, I know.



I never heard a sound but when I turned around

You suddenly were gone.

I know should forget, I tell myself and yet,

Your memory lingers on.



Even if I tried, searching far and wide, all would be in vain,
