Scott Simons Returns to WVU for Music Industry Lectures
West Virginia University alumnus Scott Simons is returning to campus from October 5 to 8 for a series of guest lectures, masterclasses, and student engagement activities focused on the modern music industry. Formerly an assistant musical director on 'America's Got Talent' and a composer, Simons will share his non-linear career journey with students through sessions on executive production, jazz, and composition, alongside a band studio session. Joshua Swiger, WVU's music industry teaching assistant professor, expressed enthusiasm for Simons' return, highlighting his experience as a mentor, performer, and composer. The event aims to provide students with insights gained from his time on 'The X Factor USA' and 'America's Got Talent.' Readers should follow the original source link for the full story.
