Mama, ovdje tvoj sin
malo zeznul s tim
mijesal votku i pelin
joj, mama, vel'ki mrak mi je
odbijaju me vozit taxijem

Mama, pal sam pod stol
o 'bem ti limun, tekilu i sol
molim te, spasi me
jer napili su me

Rek'o sam ne mrem vise
al' su rekli svi -
budi kus, budi kus
i zaplesi nam tango

Evo i kuma, popil bocu ruma sam
fali Leo, mali Leo
nije jeo, vani sjeo
pa se nije digao, sve zrigao

Ako sad krenes, doci ces na vrijeme
vel'ke su sjene, dodji sad po mene
sjedi u auto i spasi svoje zlato

Nova godina 2014.

New Year’s Eve turns into a domestic rescue mission: the narrator has mixed drinks, fallen under the table and is now calling his mother because the taxi drivers will not take him. The escalating list of vodka, pelin, tequila and salt turns a familiar holiday binge into slapstick, while the refrain mimics the chorus of friends egging him on after he has already said he cannot drink more.

The song is funny because the narrator keeps narrating his own loss of control as if it were a logistical problem that someone else can solve. Its timestamp points to the New Year celebration around the turn of 2013–14, but the entry gives no evidence that the scene is autobiographical. No independent review of Bulić’s track was located. The lyric’s comic chaos is balanced by the mother’s presence: beneath the bravado, the person most likely to show up is still family. It is a party song that remembers the morning-after embarrassment before the night has even ended.

The song’s novelty-song structure is built on escalation: each new drink adds another obstacle, from the taxi refusing the passenger to the family member being called for rescue. The title dates the scene, but the comic voice is deliberately larger than one documented night. What makes the refrain effective is its imitation of group pressure—friends keep urging the narrator to dance even after he has reached his limit. Beneath the slapstick, the call to his mother hints at the tenderness that party songs often hide: when the bravado fails, care is still expected to answer.
