Lijek, nemam ja lijek
sto protiv tebe pomaze
kada odes ostane bol
al' bar me bol nikad ne laze

Lijek, nemam ja lijek
da me od tebe ozdravi
proci ce zivot, zivot il' dva
dok se srce ne oporavi

A samo jedno ti meni nisi rekao
da sa pogresnom zenom pravu si cekao
a samo jedno ti meni nisi priznao
kad si izdao mene i sebe si izdao

Lijek, nemam ja lijek
da me od tebe izljeci
jednom moj, moj zauvijek
umrijet cu tebe ljubeci

Lijek, nemam ja lijek
da me od tebe ozdravi
ostajem tu u nasem snu
ti zivot dalje nastavi

Lijek

“Lijek” (“Medicine”) describes a love that has no cure—and a pain the narrator strangely trusts more than the beloved. When the person leaves, it hurts, but at least the hurt does not lie. That line gives the song its emotional twist: the relationship has been built on omissions, including the confession that the singer was the wrong woman for the person he loved. The wound is painful, yet more honest than the love that caused it.

The chorus stretches the recovery across a lifetime or two, exaggerating the time it will take for the heart to mend. This is not a medical metaphor used casually; it gives the breakup a lasting bodily presence. The singer is not asking for the former partner to return, so much as naming the difficult fact that healing will take longer than the relationship did.

Maja Šuput’s pop ballad lets the refrain carry the weight of that admission. Independent criticism specific to this track is sparse, so no broader consensus is claimed. “Lijek” is a breakup song that prefers truth to comfort: the beloved may have been the wrong choice, but the pain left behind is real. Sometimes the hurt is the only thing in the relationship that does not pretend.
