Oprost

Zbog ljubavi sam si ostao
ljubav je postala sveta
iznad svakog autoriteta
postao si netko zbog ponosa sto smeta

Ref.
Mozes svoj svijet sagraditi
od bjesnih pasa se skloniti
mozes suze pustiti
kao brat Krist oprostiti
kao brat Krist oprostiti

Svijet je pakao
tu se vracamo, tu umiremo
mozes kao i drugi
iz ruba bjesnilo pustati

Oprost

“Oprost” (“Forgiveness”) places love above authority, then asks what forgiveness can mean in a world described as hell. The lyric’s narrator has remained because of love, calling it sacred and higher than any institution. The chorus imagines building a world, finding shelter from angry dogs, shedding tears and forgiving like Christ. These religious images do not make the song passive. Forgiveness is presented as something difficult people may choose after seeing the violence around them clearly.

The song’s tension lies between sanctuary and confrontation. The narrator wants to build a world of his own, away from the forces that threaten it, yet the appeal to forgiveness refuses simple retaliation. The comparison to Christ raises the moral stakes, but the song does not explain how forgiveness should be practiced or whether it can repair the harm. Instead, it holds forgiveness up as a demanding possibility in a brutal setting.

Majke, the Croatian rock band led by Goran Bare, are known for an emotionally stark, blues-inflected sound; “Oprost” fits that darker, existential register. Independent reviews of this specific track are limited, so no critical consensus is claimed. The song’s question is not whether forgiveness sounds noble. It is whether anyone can choose it without pretending the world has not hurt them.
