Sjeti se one noci
kad si radje htjela
djavla da te uzme
sjeti se onog zla
pocinjenog u tebi

Sjeti se one noci
sta si radila pokraj bunara
mozes zaboravit
mozes ti preplakat

On ce zivjeti u tebi

Ref. 2x
Sada znam da ce doci kisa
i oprati ovo tlo
krvavo i otrovno
puno zlih uspomena

Nemoj stajat tuzna
zaboravi sto je rek'o
sve ste iste iznutra
sve ste tako mrtve

Manntra’s “Kiša” (“Rain”) treats memory as something the weather might wash from the ground—but not from the person carrying it. The narrator returns to a night of harm and asks the other person to remember what happened near the well. Rain is expected to cleanse the bloodied earth, yet the lyric’s insistence that “he will live inside you” makes clear that the past cannot be rinsed away so easily. The song’s imagery is dark, almost folkloric, and refuses the comfort of forgetting.

Manntra’s blend of industrial metal, folk influence and theatrical darkness gives the lyric an appropriately ritualistic atmosphere. The rain is at once natural weather and a symbol of judgment, cleansing and recurrence. Rather than resolve the story, the song returns to the act of remembering. The repeated imperative to recall the night suggests that silence would be another kind of violence; the event must be carried, even if it cannot be undone.

Croatian metal band Manntra have built an international audience through a distinctive mixture of heavy guitars and regional folk elements. Specific criticism of “Kiša” is limited, so I won’t claim a settled response. The lyric’s force lies in its refusal to let rain become a simple redemption image. The ground may be washed, but the person involved remains marked. “Kiša” is not a song about being cleansed; it is about the memory that survives every attempt to wash it away.
