Zvezde nocas isto ce sjati
kao i prosle noci
samo sto sinoc skupa smo bili
a nocas neces doci

Ref. 2x
Noci bez zvezda, i zivot bez nje
to nema nikakvog smisla
idite po nju, zovi te je
tuga me neka stisla

Ne moze meni niko pomoci
to moze samo ona
neka se sada pojavi ovde
zvonicu na sva zvona

Ref. 3x

Noc bez zvezda

In “Noć bez zvezda” (“A Night Without Stars”), the sky looks the same as it did yesterday, but the person who made it bearable is gone. The narrator remembers being together the previous night and faces the present alone, concluding that a life without her makes no sense. The title turns absence into astronomy: the stars may still be shining, but without the beloved the whole night feels empty.

This is a classic lament, yet its central contrast is precise. The world has not changed; only the relationship has. The unchanged sky makes the singer’s altered perception more painful, because even familiar surroundings now seem to have lost their meaning. The refrain’s plea to call her back is less a plan than an expression of panic—he cannot yet imagine what to do with the hours she no longer fills.

Marko Mitrović Buraz sings in the direct emotional register of a regional pop-folk ballad. Specific independent review coverage is hard to find, so no critical consensus is asserted. “Noć bez zvezda” does not need a complicated metaphor to make its point. It lets the ordinary night become a measure of grief: the stars remain, the city continues, and the person who used to make those things feel like home is somewhere else.
