tamo gdje smo bili mi
vracaju mi uspomene
nase ljubavi
Ref.
Sipajte mi nocas duplo
da se napijem
ne svirajte njene pjesme
jer pijem zbog nje
Pijem mnogo ne bil mi pomoglo
zaboravit sve
voljelo je srce ludo
ostado bez nje
Sanjali smo nase snove
srecu htjeli mi
srusise se obecanja
bol mi ostavi

“Sipajte mi duplo” (“Pour Me a Double”) opens with a decision not to return to the places where the couple used to be. The decision lasts about as long as the song’s first verse: every familiar place brings back the relationship, and the singer asks for a stronger drink while ordering the band not to play her songs. Of course, the request makes the memory even more present. The bar becomes a room full of things he is trying, unsuccessfully, not to remember.
There is humor in the specificity of the orders, but the lyric is not celebrating a cure. The drink is a pause button, and the music is both the trigger and the company. By asking the musicians to avoid her songs, the narrator exposes how thoroughly she has entered the soundtrack of his life. The refrain’s repetition mirrors the ritual: one more glass, one more night, the same loss.
Mido Milkunović’s performance belongs to the tavern-ballad tradition, where heartbreak is voiced among friends and musicians rather than hidden away. This particular track has little independent critical coverage, so I won’t invent a reception story. Its strength is that it understands the theater of trying to forget: the singer can choose another table, another drink, even another song, but the memory keeps finding him. The double is less an answer than an admission that one glass has not been enough.
