Side By Side
Eats Everything / Gardna · Side by Side
See me going up, now you see me on the stage
See me warming up, see me turning on the plays
See me in the main room, smile on my face
See me in the wear out, see me in the dance
See me coming up, now I′m up here with the stars
See me outside, see me getting out the car
See me getting down, I was there from the start
Like yeah, you see me?
I got people questioning, really?
Is this what you do for a living?
Don't be mad, don′t be silly
You see me? You see me?
Looking at the stars for a minute
Yeah, we do love to see it
You see me? You see me?
On tour and I'm going worldwide
I see you on the left side
You see me, I'm the right guy
Let′s meet in the middle this one time
Trust me, you know what it gets like
I′ll see you on the next flight
All day, all night, move left, move right (side by side)
All day, all night, move left, move right (side by side)
See me in the hotel, see me checking in
See me in the club and you see me going in
Seeing all the love and the work up at in
See me saying to your mates, see me in the set
See me in the booth and you see me playing heat
See me lose your sh- when I play that beat
I'm two-way feet in my fresh two seas
See the exclusive max ones on my feet
See I eat at the beat when I roll and eat
Everything′s man, see me go crazy
See my steeds at star with ease
See me touch down into your city
See me go stage left and I go stage right
Centre stage when I'm in my prime
See me front to the back and the middle to the side
See me going all day, see me going all night (that′s right)
On tour and I'm going worldwide
I see you on the left side, you see me, I′m the right guy
Let's meet in the middle this one time
Trust me, you know what it gets like
I'll see you on the next flight
All day, all night, move left, move right (side by side)
All day, all night, move left, move right (side by side)
All day, all night, move left, move right (side by side)
See me in the dance floor, see me in the rave
See me going up, now you see me on the stage
See me warming up, see me turning up the place
See me in the main room, smile on my face
See me in the wear out, see me in the dance
See me coming up, now I′m up here with the stars
See me outside, see me getting out the car
See me getting down, I was there from the start

Side By Side by Eats Everything feat. Gardna
Eats Everything and Gardna’s “Side By Side” treats the dancefloor as both workplace and stage. Its narrator moves from rave to main room, booth to tour bus, measuring a life in music by the rooms played, miles travelled and people watching. The refrain turns that upward motion into an invitation: after all the talk of getting somewhere, come meet in the middle.
That push and pull gives the track its shape. The verses are built around visibility—being noticed, doubted, then seen succeeding. Even the imagined question of whether this is really a job becomes another cue to list the evidence: the gigs, the travel, the ascent. Gardna’s presence fits naturally into this outward-facing world. The song is less interested in private confession than in the public ritual of making a name and keeping a crowd with you.
Then the hook shifts the point of view. Its left-right instructions are uncomplicated by design, closer to a chant than a thesis, but the image of meeting halfway gives the title a human scale. “Side By Side” is at its most persuasive when it converts the narrator’s solo victory lap into shared movement. The crowd is not just an audience witnessing success; it becomes part of the night that makes the success matter.
The writing knows its limits and its strengths. Repetition makes the refrain easy to carry into a room, while the verses’ roll call of stages, flights and status keeps the persona in constant motion. That same insistence can flatten the song’s emotional range: its boasts leave little space for uncertainty or detail. But the contrast is revealing. Beneath the polished confidence is a familiar dancefloor bargain—perform for the room, and the room gives the performance meaning.
There is little substantial public criticism of the track to establish a broader reception, so claims of acclaim or backlash would be premature. Heard on its own terms, “Side By Side” is a straightforward club-facing collaboration with a more interesting idea than its slogans initially suggest: the desire to be seen, and the possibility that being seen is better when someone is moving with you.
