If I Must Die

Art Paul Schlosser · Untitled I And Untitled II

I hate to do this to you, to do a funny song

and then stick you with a very serious poem but I'll do this poem any how.

If I must die

Let me die for a worthy cause

Let me not commit suicide

Let me stand tall and strong

Let me fight brave and long

Let me not give up

No matter how rough

The road may be

I must remember and see

That God has a plan for me

And if I must die

And we all know we must die

Let me die with dignity

For that is the best destiny

Not a scolar

Not a pauper

Or a Queen

Could ever be free

Without dignity

So if I must die

Let me die with the dignity

That I did something

To make the world see

And then I will die

Most peacefully
