Well get up in the morning to go to work

You look for your shoes they aren't no where

Until finally your late for work

Well you go to the local candy store

To buy a candy bar

But the sign says

No shoe no service

And the store clerk says your barefoot

Put that candy bar back and get out of here

Well it's the middle of winter here and I'm looking for my shoes

and there's 3 feet of snow outside

and I gotta get going because I'm late for work

and I'm late for that gig I was suppose to have tonight

and I still can't find my shoes

and I don't want walk out in the snow barefoot

you know it's kind of cold out there.
